Burdock is a genus of weeds that are related to sunflowers & part of the daisy family. It is a large weed that is covered in thrones & can grow over 4ft tall. Although it is native to Europe & Asia, it has been naturalized throughout North America. This weed thrives along river banks, disturbed habitats, roadsides, & vacant lots. The roots can be used to reduce swelling around joints & great for reducing symptoms of gout. It's very high in insulin, has abundance of iron, is a diuretic (stops water retention), flushes your kidneys, cleanses the blood, aids with skin issues such as eczema, & reduces fevers.
